Responsibilities
Create, implement, upgrade, optimize, and test web application features and projects.
Provide technical leadership by reviewing code, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to architecture discussions.
Work with project owners to drive a major transformation within U.S. News by leveraging React.js, Python, AWS cloud, Google BigQuery, and other latest technologies.
Promote the overall quality of the team and technology by perpetually self-improving and guiding others in their skills development.
Collaborate with designers, analysts, stakeholders, and testers to build products efficiently and effectively.

Required
Modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React, Vue, or Angular 2+
Web styling with CSS preprocessors or CSS-in-JS
Modern JavaScript patterns and ES6
Unix-based operating systems, such as Linux or Mac OS X, along with the shells and command-line tools available in those environments
Version control, such as Git
A bachelor’s degree
At least 3 years work experience in a similar role
Preferred
CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins
Cloud environments such as AWS
Server-side technologies, such as Python, Java, or NodeJS
Databases, such as PostgreSQL
