Responsibilities

Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of studies and reports to guide company management in planning for future systems needs and improvements. Activities include developing cost estimates for capital budget planning and projects including modeling alternative evaluations, e.g. estimates costs, schedules, community impact and risks across projects in various municipalities throughout the service area.

Drive and coordinate the long-term capital plan for the assigned division/system. Coordinate monthly capital meetings with operational personnel, tracking capital and reporting to senior management on capital.

Model and review all waterline and sewer projects. Design assigned aspects of projects i.e. tanks, boosters, lift stations, WTP projects, WWTP projects, regulating vaults, etc.) as needed.

Use the company applications such as Powerplant and SAP to create and manage capital projects. Update, maintain, and research information in a variety of company databases including the financial information system and capital budget system for project authorization and tracking. Ensure new equipment is logged into the appropriate maintenance system.
