Responsibilities

Ensure safety compliance of plant utilities and operating units within the plant.

Monitor and track plant emissions to ensure permit compliance and environmental requirements.

Respond to quality upsets, provide corrective actions, and own assigned customer complaints.

Use continuous improvement techniques to identify opportunities and increase plant efficiency.

Provide technical support for projects implementation and ensure commissioning and startup.

Required

Post-secondary Chemical Engineering degree

2 years’ production experience in a specialty chemical industry or petrochemical industry

Basic knowledge of chemistry

Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools and principals

Experience with Analytical problem-solving methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, failure mode analysis)

Quality Management principles

Compliance with standards, regulations, and industry best practices (OSHA, RC14001, ISO 9001, PSM)

Excellent communication & presentation skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Aspen IP.21, AutoCAD, and data analysis

Experience in process control with Honeywell Experion, HPM, or Delta V

Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), safe work permitting, lockout/tagout, emergency response, and hazard recognition
