Responsibilities

Develop and continuously improve core firing manufacturing processes.
Develop and maintain feedback loops from visual and dimensional inspection.
Troubleshoot process problems and provide technical support to manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery of conforming core products to downstream processes.
Use process knowledge, basic engineering principles, previous experience, and creativity to develop processes that result in the production of injected cores meeting customer specifications.
Review customer specifications and develop processes and documentation to achieve them.
Establish and maintain statistical process control in assigned areas.
Monitor yield and throughput in assigned areas.
Collaborate with appropriate teams to implement improvements (efficiency, safety, yield).
Collaborate with the training team to develop efficient and effective training content.
Provide direction to appropriate teams for tooling improvements.

Ceramics processingThermal processingSix Sigma

Required

BS in Mechanical Engineering or another related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in ceramics processing
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization

Preferred

Experience in thermal processing techniques specific to ceramic cores preferred but not required
Six Sigma training preferred (Green or Black Belt)
