Responsibilities

Create and maintain quoting programs utilizing Microsoft Excel and/or advanced database programs to efficiently quote new and existing business.

Understand customer RFP/RFI/RFQ’s and customer inputs and requirements relative to scope of quote and liability to Benchmark and ensure quotes are in line with sector regulations/requirements. Review customer specifications to ensure quote is technically compatible and competitive.

Structure pricing and execute the quote in a manner that will be competitive and position Benchmark to win the opportunity consistent with the operating guidelines established for the sector.

Maintain the accuracy of quoting models and information in the operating system to ensure accurate cost and quoting programs. Execute ad-hoc costing studies and analyses when needed.

Understand, analyze, document and communicate contractual, technical and commercial terms and conditions relative to the company standard.

Structure pricing and execute the quote in a manner that will be competitive and position Benchmark to win the opportunity consistent with the operating guidelines established for the sector.

Work with material quote and engineering resources and/or support quotation of materials and labor quotes in order to obtain the information required to deliver a quality quote on time. Coordinate with Business Development and customer to determine and/or clarify project requirements to ensure quality output.

Follow up and report on outstanding quotations to improve quotation process and measure effectiveness.

May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required

4 year degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management.

Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools.

Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products.

Proven ability to analyze various sources of information and familiarity with production cost modeling and margin analysis.

Experience maintaining accuracy of quoting models and information in the operating system to ensure accurate cost and quoting programs.

Strong presentation skills and comfort with presenting costing results to various business partners and stakeholders.

Superior analytical, problem solving and modeling skills which include the ability to collect, manipulate, and synthesize large quantities of operational data with operational processes and operational expenses.

Knowledge of project management, manufacturing, supply chain, and finance functions.
