Responsibilities

Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications, and construction methods for compliance

Perform routine tests on materials like concrete and soils

Measure dimensions, verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures

Coordinate and supervise project inspection activities

Assign, schedule, and maintain subordinate inspection staff

Draft project correspondence, facilitate meetings, and resolve construction-related issues

Gather and maintain record documents

Make field notes and computations

Interact with various parties to respond to inquiries

Engineering or Engineering Technology degree

Senior Engineer Intern classification requires an EI certificate

One (1) year of Construction Inspection Experience (CEI) experience in construction of roadway or bridge structures

Client requested certifications

Active driver’s license

CTQP Final Estimates Level I

CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I

CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)

CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I

CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II

CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I

CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II

CTQP Pile Driving Inspection

CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (Required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structure foundations)

FDOT Intermediate MOT

IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I

Nuclear Radiation Safety

Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors

Preferred

Supervisory experience in construction management/inspection situations

Ability to act in an Owner’s Agent/Responsible in Charge role
