Responsibilities
Reduce the time it takes to provision on-premise infrastructure by using Configuration-as-Code to template the configuration of various server types
Create runbooks and scripts to reduce manual labor on repetitive tasks
Collaborate with other IT teams to improve existing workflows through automation
Maintain and operate tools and platforms managed by the SRE team
Write roles and profiles to automate the configuration of Windows and Linux servers
Build and maintain Windows & Linux virtual machine templates using Packer
Conceive, operate, and maintain a platform for managing the Virtual Machines lifecycle
Suggest improvements and provide efficient solutions
Document work and share knowledge with the SRE team
Implement standard methodologies for systems automation and operations
Ensure availability and security of tools and platforms handled by the SRE team
Perform additional duties as assigned by Management

Required
Bachelor of Science degree in information technology or equivalent experience required
5 years of experience in DevOps or Platform engineering required, 5 to 10 years preferred
Strong experience using Configuration as Code tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Terraform
Solid infrastructure background operating Linux and Windows servers in a production environment
Proficient with multiple scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash...)
Consistent track record of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
Working knowledge of cloud providers and first-hand experience deploying and maintaining infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently
Preferred
5 to 10 years of experience in DevOps or Platform engineering
Experience running Kubernetes, Helm, FluxCD is a plus
Good knowledge of the VMware vSphere ecosystem is a plus
Good understanding of network (VLANs, firewalls, route tables, VPN...) is a plus
Expertise with a variety of monitoring and observability platform is a plus
Data Center experience is strongly preferred, but not required
