Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of business intelligence solutions using Power BI, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and Data Warehousing
Enable self-service governance for data analysis and management, including creating and implementing policies and strategies
Communicate with stakeholders to understand their data and reporting requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and accessibility
Monitor data quality and accuracy, taking action to resolve issues
Manage and develop a team of BI analysts and developers
Develop and implement business intelligence & analytics to support organizational initiatives
Analyze business requirements to design and develop technical solutions
Support full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for building BI solutions
Build star schema data models, perform ETLs, and validate results with business representatives
Drive pragmatic approaches to solving business problems using BI tools
Research new technologies for efficient data processes and governance
Execute advanced data analytics models with actionable solutions
Estimate solution cost and collaborate with business units
Advise power users on best practices for BI reporting
Present information through reports/dashboards and visualization
Support BI solutions by monitoring performance, tuning queries, and addressing user questions
Document and maintain BI solutions
Engage customers to understand challenges and develop technical solutions

Required
Bachelor's degree in computer and information science or related major. Master's degree in business intelligence is desirable
7+ years of hands-on Microsoft Power BI, Azure Synapse, and Data Factory, Data Warehouse, ETL, SQL Server, Informatica and BI development
Experience with self-service governance, including creating and implementing policies and strategies
2+ years of hands-on experience designing and building data lake-based solutions
Demonstrated leadership capabilities that include articulating a vision of future trends for analytics, developing a detailed roadmap for the realization of that vision, and managing the resources to the successful development and implementation
Knowledge of cloud and hybrid-cloud implementations including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
Ability to write SQL queries, PL/SQL, and experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases
Experience with advanced visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools. Expertise in creating the appropriate data visualizations to uncover patterns in data to answer business questions
Experience with ETL processes and tools such as SSIS, Informatica IICS
Experience in design and development of data warehouse, data marts, and data lake technology stack
Experience in utilizing cloud technologies for building BI solutions
Experience with best practices of Business Intelligence architectures and processes such as Star Schema/Kimball dimensional data modelling
Experience deploying reporting and dashboard solutions
Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and consulting skills, with a proven track record of using data to provide actionable business results
Experience in validating an overall solution from the perspective of performance, scalability, security and capacity
Effective communicator. Must be able to express complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to understand and improve business processes
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solution design/concepts and tasks for the engineers
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skill
Preferred
Experience modeling Oracle Cloud ERP data, SAP C4C, and IBM Maximo systems a plus
Experience with a variety of business intelligence tools and applications, such data visualization, data mining and analytics, ETL/EDW, data processing, and data storage tools
Experience within the Microsoft stack of technologies is preferred
Knowledge of predictive and prescriptive analytics, data mining a plus (Python and R preferred)
Knowledge of the tools, technologies and practices needed to perform in-depth analysis of both structured transactional data, and semi-structured or unstructured data
