Responsibilities
Ensure contractor's work aligns with project design specifications and quality standards
Manage lower-level inspectors and coordinate field activities
Perform technical assignments in field surveying, construction layout, and inspection
Report field progress to Project Manager/Administrator through field reports and meetings
Utilize survey equipment to verify field measurements and grades during construction
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identify discrepancies, and develop documentation
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED
4+ years FDOT experience specific to CEI project activities (soil, concrete, steel, and bridges)
Understanding of FDOT construction project administration methods and processes including but not limited to training in MAC, BlueBeam, Hummingbird and Site Manager programs
CTQP Certification in Asphalt, Concrete, Earthwork, pile driving and drilled shafts are required
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identify discrepancies and/or conflicts, solve problems and develop documentation
Ability to utilize survey equipment to verify field measurements and survey grades during construction, including but not limited to the use of GPS Rovers and Base system, to provide real-time feedback as to whether construction services meet project requirements
Ability to accomplish goals with minimal supervision and provide guidance and direction to staff inspectors
Ability to work as part of a team
