Responsibilities

Be part of a global team designing new products for the high-speed cable and connector industry.

Interact with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to develop and validate new interconnect products.

Collaborate to create cost-effective designs meeting market requirements.

Develop product specifications and present concepts to internal and external stakeholders.

Support manufacturing and quality assurance during product launches.

Identify and implement new technologies to improve product development processes.

Work with marketing and customers to define project opportunities and designs.

Provide technical support and collaborate with customer engineering throughout the product development lifecycle.

Required

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

5+ years of experience in Product Design Engineering in electronic components

Experience with welding, stamping, plating, or plastic injection molding/insert molding, and connector and cable harness assembly

Knowledge in developing engineering documentation including DFMEAs

Experience with Tolerance Analysis studies

Working knowledge in Data Analysis, preferably using Excel, Minitab, and/or Power BI

Proficiency in CAD, preferably in NX, Team Center

Preferred

Six Sigma training/certification

Experience designing high-speed interfaces, cable and board mount connectors

Twinax termination, PCB surface mount and compression technologies

Design Board launches (EON, SMT, compression, etc.)

High Density Board termination rework process

Experience with DVP testing
