Required

Proficiency in a backend programming language like Python, Java, PHP, or Node.js (specify which language(s) are most important for your project)

Experience with backend frameworks for your chosen language (e.g., Django for Python, Spring for Java, Laravel for PHP, Express.js for Node.js)

Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), writing database queries, scheduling data backups, accessing from existing databases, and experience with database design and normalization

Experience with storing user preferences on the server-side using techniques like cookies, sessions, or databases

Experience with RESTful APIs

Understanding of server administration concepts and experience working with web servers (Apache, Nginx)

Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms

Experience with secure session management techniques to prevent unauthorized access (e.g., session timeout, secure storage)

Version control system proficiency (Git)

Excellent communication skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Time management skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline

Preferred

Experience building and maintaining web applications is ideal, with a focus on backend development

Experience with a specific backend programming language like Python, Java, PHP, or Node.js is required

A portfolio showcasing previous web development work, especially backend development projects is a plus
