Responsibilities

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to build software solutions for the shopping experience.

Architect, design, and implement high-performing web applications and services.

Work on web development, scalable middle tier, and back-end services.

Translate requirements into detailed architecture, design, and code.

Write scalable, performant, readable, and tested code, monitoring and optimizing performance.

Review code, provide feedback, mentor peers, and guide less experienced engineers.

Use data for prioritization decisions, thrive in ambiguity, and make tradeoffs for customer impact.

Have a bias for action, strive for performance improvement, and build innovative customer experiences.

Establish strong relationships across the organization and be results-oriented and data-driven.

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent relevant experience

6+ years relevant work experience with building highly performant full-stack applications and services. This is in addition to degree/experience requirement above.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like, agile development environment.

Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, object-oriented design, and data structures.

Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and latest JavaScript standards.

Experience with HTML5, CSS, and web frameworks such as React or Angular.

Proficiency in at least one modern programming language/technology such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Node.js, Angular.js, or React.

3+ years of experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.

Demonstrated track record of cultivating strong working relationships and collaborating across multiple teams.

Preferred

Deep understanding of ReactJS or Spring Boot.

Proficiency in more than one modern programming language/technology.

Experience working on streaming data applications (e.g. Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, or Spark Streaming).

Ecommerce experience.
