Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions, both on premises and in the cloud (AWS).

Develop and maintain automated deployment processes using Kubernetes and Docker to ensure efficient and consistent deployment of software applications.

Collaborate with development teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and streamline the software release process.

Monitor and optimize system performance, including resource utilization, capacity planning, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and scalability.

Provide technical guidance and support to clients during the installation, configuration, and management of Certara software products.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address infrastructure-related issues and implement proactive solutions.

Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluate their potential for improving our infrastructure and processes.

Collaborate with the customer support team to understand client requirements and provide timely and effective solutions.

Proactively identify areas for process improvement, automation, and increased efficiency.

Foster a customer-centric mindset and maintain excellent customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and support.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably in a senior or lead role

Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Linux operating systems, AWS/Azure/GCP services, networking principles, and Python and Bash scripting

Experience managing and optimizing infrastructure in both cloud and on-premises environments

Proficient in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools (e.g., GitHub, Circle CI CI/CD)

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex system issues

Solid understanding of software development practices and methodologies

Exceptional customer-facing and communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and departments

Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Preferred

Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus
