Responsibilities

Migrate data between different databases of our BI solutions.

Help deploy, configure, and customize our BI solutions for our customers.

Analyse large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.

Ability to bring different sources of data together to deliver insights.

Combine models through ensemble modelling.

Present information using data visualization techniques.

Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.

Collaborate with Engineering and Product Development teams.

Required

BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field; graduate degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred.

6+ years of experience with strong background in databases, ETL, data streaming to the cloud, and data visualization.

Proficient with Microsoft Power BI.

Understanding of machine-learning and operations research.

Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset.

Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop).

The ideal candidate should possess an analytical mind, strong math skills (including statistics and algebra), and a problem-solving aptitude.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Willing to travel 25% of the time to customer sites around the globe.

Preferred

Graduate degree in Data Science or other quantitative field.

Experience with Kafka and Pentaho Kettle is a Plus.

Experience with Navis N4 and Navis XPS is a Plus.
