Responsibilities

Implementing operating systems and network device security configuration in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) approved Security Technical Implementation Guides
Specifying, configuring, and administering boundary devices (i.e., managed switches, proxy servers, routers, firewalls, cryptography, and intrusion detection systems); managing remote switches and routing
Performing vulnerability assessments using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker, incorporating automated Benchmarks
Correcting flaws and implementing technical controls in the hardware or software installed within the network environment
Managing, architecting, and implementing physical networks to include logical need-to-know separation between data

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related STEM degree
6 years of experience as a network engineer/architect and computer systems administrator
6 years of experience using the DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management Program (IAVMP)
Working knowledge of Ethernet, Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI), TCP/IP, CISCO IOS, Inside Plant (ISP), and Outside Plant (OSP)
Demonstrated proficiency with Visio for LNDs
Knowledge of basic networking sets such as CCNA or equivalent and experience/training with CISCO NX-OS
Possess DoD Approved Baseline Certification as Information Assurance Technical Level (IAT) II in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M (i.e., GSEC, Security +CE, SCP and Vendor certification and IT Training Provider certificate for network environment main operating system)
U.S. citizenship
Active DoD Top Secret clearance

Preferred

Experience with Multi-Level Security
If no degree is held, 12 years of experience as an IT technician on DoD classified networks will be required
