The University of Miami Health System is seeking faculty members for the College of Engineering and School of Architecture. The successful candidates will engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and contribute to research, teaching, and service in areas such as sustainability, structural systems, and climate resilience.

Collaborate on joint initiatives at the interface between COE, SOA, and other academic programs
Contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service
Create or contribute to a vibrant research group consistent with the mission and joint vision of the COE and SOA

Required

strong expertise in interdisciplinary investigations including but not limited to architectural design, material sciences, sustainability and resilience, structural systems, energy systems, energy-water nexus, climate resilience, building resilience, smart sensing, and data sciences applied at various scales in the built environment
a record of success in research activities consistent with the sought rank
strong teaching abilities and research experience consistent with the sought rank
an engineering background and earned PhD are eligible to apply
a PhD is required for applicants with an architecture background
a terminal degree in their disciplinary areas is required for applicants from other disciplines
prepared to speak to strategies that promote and enhance a sense of belonging amongst diverse constituencies

Preferred

post-doctoral experience is desired, but not required
a link to a downloadable portfolio of visual content and/or design work, if applicable
