Responsibilities
Management responsibility in the absence of the Quality Manager.
Identifying and addressing conditions affecting product quality.
Coordinating interdepartmental efforts for quality compliance.
Identifying and providing quality training.
Reporting on quality system performance to management.
Assisting in various quality activities including audits and non-conformance evaluations.
Monitoring and maintaining instruments and outside processing.
Supporting inspection processes and ensuring safety standards.
Performing tasks as assigned and ensuring customer inventory care.

Required
Must possess basic metallurgical knowledge obtained through formal university or college training or a combination of training and experience. Engineering degree preferred.
Three years experience in Quality Control and practical knowledge of commercial heat treatment of steel, aluminum, titanium, nickel, brass, copper, etc. desired
Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate the English language to interface with management and all levels, both in-house and at the customer’s place of business.
Must be capable of writing general procedures for heat treatment of specific alloys, in accordance with customer needs.
Must be capable of making written recommendations for improving Quality Systems and Procedures.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required.
Must be able to read/interpret blueprints/specifications, and be detail-oriented to meet deadlines.
Preferred
The desired candidate will have or be willing to obtain a Six Sigma Green Belt.
The desired candidate will be thoroughly familiar with commercial, aircraft, and aerospace specifications, ASME, and military specification codes as required.
