Responsibilities
Dive deeper into the software lifecycle, taking on more complex tasks and leading smaller project initiatives.
Write code, be involved in design discussions, code reviews, and mentor Associate and Standard Engineers.
Build a real-time data platform for the DoD to better inform operators of events, collecting data from sensors, enriching them, making them queryable, and presenting a cohesive operating picture to operators.
Work hands-on with technologies like Kafka, Kafka Streams, Pinot, Java, Scala, Kubernetes, and handle a billion+ events each day at millisecond latency.

Required
3 to 5 years of experience being hands-on engineer
Java or Scala or Kotlin
Experience with Kafka and Kafka Streams
Experience creating web-socket and RESTFul APIs
Work well within the team and be able to make decisions that align to the team's north stars
Curious about time series and geospatial data
Bachelors in Computer Science / Engineering / Physics / Mathematics background
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Preferred
Hands-on experience with time-series data in PostgreSQL or another SQL flavored database
May require up to 10% travel
