Senior Substation Physical Design Engineer

Responsibilities
Work on client projects for various types of customers including utilities, power producers, and industrial clients.
Read and design substation physical drawings such as one-line drawings, three-line drawings, and grounding drawings.
Perform QA/QC checks on substation physical design projects and create bill of materials for projects.
Lead design teams, work with client standards, and assist with client management and communications.
Qualification
Required
Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related degree with ten or more years of related substation physical design experience
Experience with grounding studies/lightning protection and lighting studies
Experience in substation design (medium, high, and extra-high voltage) and IEEE/ANSI standards
Strong analytical skills and proven problem solver in both team and independent environments
A high level of technical competency which may include: WinIGS, CDEGS, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit
Proficiency with SEL or GE relays
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with the internal team and clients to meet project needs and deadlines
Collaborator and leader who can work effectively in a team environment
Preferred
Engineer in Training (EIT) professional certification
Professional Engineer (PE) License
Master's degree in a related field
