Responsibilities
Perform data analysis on large datasets using tools like SQL, Python, R, or SAS.
Create visualizations using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib/seaborn.
Apply statistical techniques to interpret data and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Clean and manipulate data, work with database management systems, and conduct exploratory data analysis.
Utilize machine learning algorithms for predictive modeling and deliver actionable insights.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related fields is often required. Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) can be advantageous, especially for senior roles.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS.
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib/seaborn in Python.
Knowledge of statistical techniques for data analysis and interpretation.
Familiarity with data manipulation and cleaning techniques.
Understanding of database management systems and data warehousing concepts.
Ability to work with large datasets and perform data mining and exploratory data analysis (EDA).
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to extract insights from data.
Attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
Ability to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data.
Problem-solving skills to address complex data-related challenges.
Comfort with quantitative analysis and statistical methods.
Preferred
Experience with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling can be beneficial for some roles.
Experience with data visualization, statistical modeling, and working with real-world datasets is often sought after.
Familiarity with specific industries or domains such as finance, healthcare, marketing, or e-commerce may be required depending on the employer's needs.
