Responsibilities

Manages and executes security engineering activities during the analysis, design, development, and sustainment phases

Interfaces with the government as the lead for designing security related capabilities for each project

Analyzes the security of pipelines, applications, and services to achieve release and deployment

Provides integration and implementation of security solutions and features for system architectures

Defines holistic cloud security strategy and implements cloud orchestration tools and solutions

Implements, maintains, and improves existing industry best practices of NIST security controls

Resolves and mitigates vulnerabilities, designs security functions, and provides evidence-based reasoning for secure work products

Required

Manages and executes security engineering activities during the analysis, design, development, and sustainment phases

Interfaces with the government as the lead for designing security related capabilities for each project

Analyzes the security of the pipelines, applications, and services to achieve release and deployment and provides integration and implementation of security solutions and security features for system architectures

Defines holistic cloud security strategy and implements cloud orchestration tools and solutions to meet cloud security architecture requirements, policies, and procedures

Implements, maintains, and improves existing industry best practices of NIST security controls such as identity and access management, IDS/IPS, log analytics, encryption and data security

Resolves and mitigates vulnerabilities, designs security functions, and provides evidence-based reasoning to substantiate claims for trustworthy and secure work products

DHS Suitability Clearance OR Minimum of DoD Top Secret Clearance required to start

Security + or Approved IAT II Level Certification Required to start

Preferred

One or more technical security certifications: ISC2 – Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), ISC2 – Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), ISC2 – Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), ISACA – Certified Information Security Manager (ISSM), SANS – Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Cloud Security Essentials (GCLD), Cloud Security Automation (GCSA), Security Essentials (GSEC), and others

A Senior labor category has ten or more years of experience and a master’s degree. Twelve years’ work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. A bachelor’s degree plus 8 years’ work experience may be substituted for a master's degree.

A SME labor category has a minimum of 15 years’ experience and a master’s degree in addition to certifications in the applicable subject matter area. A bachelor’s degree plus 20 years’ work experience may be substituted for a master's degree.
