Responsibilities
Assess and implement requirements to ensure the safety of information systems in cloud environments.
Design and implement secure, cloud-based platforms to support mission critical operations.
Research and recommend tools and capabilities from various on premise, cloud-based, and hybrid solutions.
Guide the team in developing and re-platforming capabilities throughout the cloud migration process.
Work with migration teams to build new capabilities in the cloud environment.
Develop and evaluate security documentation including system security plans, contingency plans, and security procedures.

Required
5+ years of experience implementing and maintaining security within cloud environments on AWS or Azure
3+ years of experience administrating or engineering security, network, or system infrastructure using multi-cloud security and governance tools
Experience working in an Agile development environment, and securing container and orchestration solutions, including Kubernetes, OpenShift, or managed services such as AWS EKS, GCP GKE, or Azure AKS
Experience with configuration automation tools, including Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Experience implementing and maintaining a cloud security architecture and developing and evaluating security documentation (RMF), including system security plans, contingency plans, security procedures, and continuity of operations plans
Knowledge of the software development life cycle and development methodologies
Knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud native services, centralized logging, SIEM/SOAR, web app security, RBAC and ABAC, Data Security, cloud native architectures, or Zero Trust
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
DoD Directive 8570 or 8140 Series IAT Level II Certification such as Security+ and Computing Environment Certification
Preferred
Experience with a variety of cloud technologies
Experience with programming in Python or Java
Experience with IaC concepts and tools, including AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Packer, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates
Possession of excellent interpersonal skills to successfully interact with clients, engineers, and managers
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
CompTIA Cloud+, GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Azure Security Engineer Associate, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty Certification
