Responsibilities

Analyze and organize raw data

Build data systems and pipelines

Evaluate business needs and objectives

Prepare data layer for consumption by end users by building data models in visualization tool

Combine raw information from different sources

Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability

Collaborate with other developers, data analysts, and business users

Lead Projects

Mentor other Data Engineers.

Qualification

Required

12+ Years’ experience as a BI engineer or in a similar role

Technical expertise with data models and data warehouse design

Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java and Python)

Knowledge of Data Vault design of data warehouse

Proficient in SQL and know about NoSQL databases such as CosmosDB

Expert Understanding of the concepts of data warehousing, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data modeling

Able to integrate data from various sources, such as web services, APIs, and file systems

Understand how to secure data platform for both Snowflake and Power BI

Understanding how to build data pipelines

Proficiency in version control systems such as Git and understanding the concepts of branching, merging, and tagging

Good communication skills, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; OR equivalent experience

Experience with Snowflake is required

Preferred

Data Vault Warehouse Design experience is highly desired

Experience With The Following Tools And Technologies: QLIK Replicate and QLIK Enterprise Manager, Matillion ETL, Azure Cloud (Logic App, Azure Data Factory, Cloud Storage), Power BI
