Responsibilities
Performing business intelligence or other analytical activities to target specific trends for proactive demand management and increased operational performance.
Using human-centered design to perform proactive analysis of data based on visualization, pattern matching, and scientific methods to support AI utilization in a healthcare setting.
Leading and supporting a diverse range of advanced projects requiring in-depth analysis and creative use of innovative methods in machine learning and data analytics for clinical healthcare support/health detention.
Ensuring growth of existing and development of new machine learning and data analytics capabilities.
Identifying new opportunities and applications of data analytics capabilities and help create vision and technical direction for existing work in the area under the consultative direction of leadership.
Identifying, defining, and determining the scope of highly complex data analytics problems in the clinical healthcare domain.
Providing highly innovative solutions to abstract complex problems/ideas, convert them into usable algorithms/software modules, and provide solutions that require in-depth analysis of multiple factors and the creative use of established methods.
Providing health statistical reporting, maintaining incident data within a tracking system that allows for reporting, queries, and incident correlation.
Qualification
Required
BS or MS degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physical Science or related technical field with 4+ years in Data Science related field.
Experience with VA, federal/commercial health data, and human center design.
Experience using analytical tools, such as R/R Studio, Python, SAS, SQL, or advanced data quality analysis toolkits.
Able to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
Knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies in machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
Ability to communicate comprehensive knowledge effectively across multi-disciplinary teams and to non-technical audiences with the interpersonal skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment.
Familiarity with data warehouse data models.
Experience with data standardization and data governance processes.
Preferred
PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Previous federal experience in similar roles or previous cybersecurity knowledge a plus.
Experience in Agile development methodologies Certification in Analytics, Big Data, and other technical certification(s)
Experience developing and operating data platforms in support of Business Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence and Cloud/Hybrid Computing.
