Responsibilities
Conduct performance testing and analysis for applications and systems to guarantee peak performance. Identify and address performance bottlenecks, developing effective strategies for resolution.
Collaborate with development, architecture, and operations teams to pinpoint and resolve performance issues while implementing performance enhancements.
Develop and execute performance testing plans and methodologies.
Monitor system performance metrics, craft strategies to optimize performance and capacity.
Participate in the design and development of new systems and features to ensure they meet performance and scalability standards.
Create and maintain automated performance testing frameworks and scripts to streamline testing processes.
Conduct load testing and stress testing to verify that IT systems can effectively handle high traffic and heavy usage scenarios.
Document performance test results and effectively communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Develop performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gauge the performance of IT systems and applications.
Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards to effectively communicate performance data to stakeholders.
Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for performance engineering within the organization.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure the inclusion of performance testing in the software development lifecycle.
Stay updated with the latest performance testing tools and techniques to continuously enhance performance engineering practices.
Qualification
Required
3 years of experience in quality assurance or software development
Bachelor’s degree is required
Proficiency with one of the open-source performance tools is required (Ex: JMeter, Locust, Artillery.io, etc.)
Knowledge of open-source performance testing tools
Familiarity with performance testing principles
Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, etc.
Understanding of web technologies, including HTML and CSS
Preferred
Proficiency in LoadRunner
