Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Engineering Services for oversight of high containment laboratory systems.
Developing management routines for reviewing BAS controls graphics and fault detection programs.
Reviewing and advising FM team on Preventative Maintenance tasks for labs.
Coordinating FM activities for annual maintenance shutdown of high containment labs.
Maintaining detailed project records and supporting energy conservation in lab HVAC operations.
Collaborating with the Emory community and providing technical assistance to related entities.
Serving on University research-related committees and performing other related duties as required.

Required
A bachelor's degree in engineering or lab related science degree from an ABET accredited program and ten years of related work experience.
General knowledge of building codes and state and federal regulations.
Working knowledge of laboratory design and Biosafety in Microbiological and Biomedical Laboratories (BMBL).
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities.
Required to wear personal protective equipment where necessary.
Preferred
A Professional Engineer license in the State of Georgia is preferred.
Prefer active membership of the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) organization, both Georgia Chapter and National organization.
