Responsibilities

Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and technical due diligence to determine new areas to grow the product

Conduct interviews to determine customer needs and product requirements

Set the roadmap and direction for core areas of the product

Lead planning, backlog grooming, and prioritization of features to achieve the product vision

Represent the team with partners and senior company leaders to align resources and prioritization

Educate teams and promote Square adoption of event platforms

Foster an environment that enables the engineering team to build quickly while maintaining a high standard for quality

Required

Experience with Kafka or eventing pipelines

Experience: 3+ years in product management or software development

Product sense: You have experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs. You can empathize with customers and envision solutions to solve their pain points.

Passion: You are excited to build customer-focused data products

Technical: You have knowledge of modern data architecture and best practices. You have experience developing, testing, and deploying APIs and web applications that use external platforms, cloud services, and APIs.

Collaborative: You have experience working directly with other teams, customers, and vendors.

Communicative: You can write and present with brevity and clarity

Creative: You can break down open-ended and ambiguous problems
