Responsibilities
Contribute to building user-facing computing systems that allow for simple but reliable development of hardware and software
Work with 3rd party software vendors to meet operational needs
Build standardized data infrastructure for reliable hardware/software testing performance analysis
Design and implement general infrastructure improvements for high availability and performance
Collaborate with the security team to implement best practices and policies for infrastructure protection
Maintain documentation of infrastructure and procedures, conduct design reviews, and share knowledge with team members and customers

Required
Strong background in systems engineering to help design reliable test systems and increase safety of Hermeus’ assets
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in Software Engineering that can break down application development into organized, collaborative-coding projects with unit tests. DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Gitlab, Docker, Git, infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools.)
Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, C++). Networking and Security principles
Experience with building Internet of Things (IoT) solutions using microcomputers, microcontrollers, I/O protocols such as Ethernet networking and serial/usb communication to provide computation on the edge
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments
Experience using SQL-like languages to interact with Databases and data modeling
Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, their configuration, and administration
