Responsibilities

Design specialized tooling for PWR and BWR plants, focusing on reactor disassembly/reassembly and fuel movement.

Perform non-routine and varied engineering assignments in design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, and field task execution.

Ensure compliance with engineering standards and evaluate, select, and apply technical techniques independently.

Develop new products, methods, systems, or models to provide added value solutions to customers.

Research best practices, propose methods and improvements, and work on special projects as directed.

Travel up to 25% to enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy solutions.

Required

BS in Mechanical Engineering

At least 2 years of experience in an engineering role

Experience working with SolidWorks and/or SmarTeam applications

Background in the development of field tooling, including underwater tooling applications

Ability to develop cost-effective, simple, yet robust, field deployable tooling

Experience working in the commercial nuclear environment, and knowledge of generic, primary side, commercial nuclear disassembly and reassembly activities

Good communication skills and problem identification/problem resolution skills

Preferred

Advanced degree in similar fields

25% travel required
