Responsibilities

Strip prior job and prepare machine for setup.
Set machine up in accordance with printed setup sheets and machining principles.
Prepare first piece inspection and submit to quality control department if required.
Operate machines and make adjustments to maintain quality parameters.
Complete production records and assist in securing proper paperwork for operators.
Train machine operators in machinery operation, Preventative Maintenance, and in-process inspection.
Monitor equipment status and audit inspections performed by machine operators.
Communicate with Value Stream Team Leader or Department Supervisor on downtime issues.
Demonstrate proactive response to minimize equipment downtime.

Required

High School Diploma or GED
Excellent math skills
Ability to use gages and precision measuring equipment and read and interpret blue prints
Prior experience setting up various CNC machines
Knowledge of setting up and operating CNC Lathes
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work in manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical manufacturing setting.
