Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Project Development team to determine project requirements and expectations.

Partner with the engineering team to ensure project designs meet or exceed internal and/or external requirements.

Assist in the creation of project budgets & cost estimates through collaboration with the Estimating Department and through soliciting proposals from vendors and subcontractors.

Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain best pricing & terms.

Draft & negotiate subcontracts and scope of work documents through coordination with the Project Team.

Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines in conjunction with the Construction Management team.

Manage prime contract & subcontract expectations and reporting requirements.

Work with Construction Site Managers to track and manage subcontractor productivity and performance.

Maintain project budgets, cash flows, and cost reporting.

Track and evaluate project progress and prepare detailed reports.

Create and maintain project documentation on a weekly basis.

Required

Thoughtful and Detail oriented

Strong work ethic and the ability to logically work through problems and come to reasonable conclusions

Proficiency in software related to construction/project management (specifically Microsoft Project, Excel, and Procore)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to read and comprehend construction plans, details, and specifications

Bachelor’s degree required. Project/Construction Management focus is a plus

3 to 5 years of Project Management experience; solar and/or energy storage experience preferred

Experience with design-build commercial or industrial construction projects and contracts

Conflict resolution experience

Experience negotiating and managing contracts & subcontracts

Knowledge of Building and Electrical codes
