Responsibilities

Prepare detailed financial models and participate in due diligence efforts for mergers and acquisitions.
Create and present analyses to executive management to guide strategic decision making.
Prepare and present financial models for projects requiring Executive and/or Board approval.
Perform financial analysis, evaluate customer rate impacts, and calculate debt defeasance costs.
Collaborate with various departments to develop and document modeling assumptions.
Maintain database of competitive acquisition transactions and support regulatory filings.
Research acquisition opportunities and conduct ad hoc analysis as required.

Required

Advance / expert level in MS Excel.
Attention to detail along with strong organizational and time management skills.
Critical thinking, adaptability, and strong work ethic.
Possess leadership skills yet are a collaborative team player.
Ability to quickly adapt to professional collaborative environments, manage ambiguity, take initiative, and achieve results.
Valuation methodologies and accounting principles.
Ability to identify the need for and develop new financial analysis requirements.
Methodologies and practices of data collection and research.
Microsoft Office Suite programs (MS Word, PowerPoint).
Strong written communication skills, along with clear and concise verbal and presentation skills.
Ability to effectively communicate complex financial analysis.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or closely related field required.
Minimum of five years of pertinent financial experience required.

Preferred

MBA or Masters in Accounting or Finance preferred.
CPA, CFA or other technical license/designation preferred.
Regulated utility industry experience is a plus.
Economic principles relating to utility ratemaking preferred.
