Responsibilities
Architectural Vision and Oversight: Develop and maintain the vision for the application and integration architecture across various software systems that drive the business.
Technical Leadership: Provide comprehensive technical oversight for different systems, guiding teams in designing and operating production-ready systems.
Strategic Thought Leadership: Offer strategic insight on the evolution of system architecture in the short, medium, and long term.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage in architectural discussions, influence the roadmap, and take ownership of key projects and initiatives.
Innovation and Problem-Solving: Evaluate emerging technologies and seek innovative solutions to address existing and new challenges.
Team Mentorship: Mentor and collaborate with team members to optimize current designs, data models, workflows, and APIs.
Product Development Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers to contribute to product design, aiming to create world-class products.
Infrastructure Optimization: Work with the DevOps team to design system infrastructure, address problem areas, and lead in system monitoring, observability, and robustness.
Industry Engagement: Represent the company at industry events as a product and technology evangelist, contributing to company branding and enhancing technical leadership.

Required
Minimum of 20 years in software engineering, with prior meaningful experience in playing the key role of an architect.
Expertise in web and data technologies such as Kafka, HDFS, Spark, EMR, Open Table Formats, Snowflake, Hive, HBase, Scylla, Django, and FastAPI.
Proficient in designing, deploying, and managing systems on AWS.
Experience with the complete software development lifecycle, from inception to production and monitoring.
Fluency in Python or substantial experience in Scala and Java.
Skilled in working with various data stores, including MySQL, Postgres, Scylla, DynamoDB, and Redis.
Expertise in big data technologies and frameworks such as Spark, HDFS, and Hive.
Experience with schedulers like Apache Airflow, Apache Luigi, and Chronos.
Familiarity with agile software development processes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
