Responsibilities

Uses professional judgment to independently complete engineering tasks within federal, state and local established criteria.
Assigns and manages tasks and schedules to EITs and non-exempt project team members under the direction of the Project Manager.
Ensures accuracy of completed tasks through established QA/QC processes.
Completes major design tasks meeting internal and external customers' needs.
Monitors and pro-actively identifies or corrects technical, schedule, or financial issues through effective communication with management staff.
Assists the Client in bidding or contractor selection if authorized by the Project Manager.
Monitors construction, supervises field personnel, responds to contractor questions, and prepares project addenda as needed.
Recommends and prepares change orders if authorized by the Project Manager.
Participates in the preparation of engineering services proposals, including calculation/estimation of time schedules and costs.
Signs and seals engineering documents as an authorized representative of the company.
Communicates on technical matters with the client.

Engineering ExperienceContract Document PreparationProfessional Engineer License

Required

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited four-year or graduate engineering university in a relevant discipline.
Two to four years of relevant engineering experience is required.
The ability to plan and lead the preparation of contract documents for Land Development projects is required
Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
