Responsibilities

Lead a team of 400+ software engineers and engineering managers.

Lead the strategic planning and execution of mobile and Square’s in-house devices development projects.

Drive the integration of advanced mobile technologies and custom hardware solutions into Square’s product lineup.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align mobile development with company objectives.

Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability within the mobile org.

Required

15+ years relevant software development experience, with a deeper focus in mobile.

10+ years of experience leading scaled engineering teams

Demonstrated experience building and driving execution for design-focused and business-critical mobile applications to a diverse and complex user base

Proven track record of leading large mobile development teams

Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of mentoring future leaders and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Experience building high performing teams with a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability

A passion for building great products and empowering businesses of all sizes.

Excellent communication skills, capable of balancing strong opinions with openness to feedback and adaptiveness
