Responsibilities
Inspects sites to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and state and federal regulations during all phases of construction.
Designs, drafts, and reviews plans of proposed projects, reviews engineering reports, plans, and specifications for compliance with regulations and guidelines.
Reviews permit applications for compliance with laws and regulations, recommends approval or denial of permits.
Consults with public officials, consulting engineers, and architects concerning design recommendations and modifications for projects.
Utilizes computer programs for data gathering, calculations, studies, and report generation.
Conducts meetings, presents workshops, and provides technical assistance to city, county, and district officials.
Acts as a team leader on projects, assigns work, oversees and reviews work, and trains new employees.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required
ABET Engineering degree required
Must be licensed as a registered professional engineer in accordance with ACA 17-30-302
Must possess Professional Engineer license
Must be able to work outdoors and on construction sites
May be exposed to hazards in the field or the laboratory
Preferred
Experience in the field of drinking water and/or wastewater is preferred
Chemical, Civil, Environmental and Biological Engineering majors are preferred
Degreed engineers from ABET programs that are not yet registered as a professional engineer will be considered for an engineer level pay grade for a GS09 - $57,755.00
