Responsibilities
Lead all phases of design including feasibility studies, planning, concept development, detailed design, construction documentation, and specifications.
Manage client communications, expectations, project workplan, timelines, budget, scope, and risk throughout project execution.
Coordinate with local authorities, construction and site managers, consultants, and financial staff.
Mentor and coordinate work of teammates and junior staff.
Maintain positive client relationships, participate in business development opportunities, and manage project delivery functions.
Review drawings and documents for accuracy, conduct QA/QC reviews, and ensure compliance with NELSON standards.
Initiate and maintain contracts, manage financial aspects of projects, and utilize project management software.
Possess a minimum of 7+ years of relevant project management and architectural experience executing industrial & manufacturing projects.

Required
Minimum 7+ years of relevant project management and architectural experience executing industrial & manufacturing all phases of projects including schematic design, design development, QA/QC reviews and permitting assistance, construction documents, contract documents and construction administration services.
Experience designing warehouse, distribution facilities and e-commerce facilities is a high priority.
Experience designing manufacturing and fabrication facilities, coordinating tooling and equipment lines is highly desirable. Coordination cranes, lifts and material handling equipment.
Experience with site-cast tilt up construction and pre-engineered building systems in highly desirable.
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device project is desirable.
Exposure to and a working knowledge of a broad range of engineering disciplines including civil/site work, structural, architectural, mechanical systems (refrigeration, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, hot water, domestic water, compressed air, plumbing and HVAC), and electrical power distribution.
Plant engineering experience is a plus.
Execution of projects within an A/E/C design firm.
Developed specifications, interfaced with and coordinated multidisciplinary teams, both on-site and remotely, particularly in private industry.
Facility, utility design projects for manufacturing and distribution clients.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for formal presentations, maintaining client relationships and interacting with our valued team members.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project.
Capable in AutoCAd, Revit, Bluebeam and specification writing programs (Masterspec, BSD SpecLink).
Experience with Newforma and Deltek Vision desirable.
Professional Architectural or Engineering licensure is required.
Preferred
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device project is desirable.
