Responsibilities
Support Project Managers and Project Teams with planning and designing multi-discipline projects.
Conduct preliminary engineering investigations, data analysis, and calculations for project solutions.
Prepare technical reports and documentation summarizing project requirements.
Perform hydrology and hydraulic calculations/modeling for stormwater and water infrastructure.
Prepare design drawings and specifications documents.
Prepare application and supporting documents for permitting requirements.
Mentor early career professionals, co-ops, and interns.
Utilize AutoCAD for contract drawings and Civil 3D design.
Utilize AutoCAD and GIS tools for H&H analyses.
Exercise responsible decision-making and adhere to company policies.
Support initiatives by taking on additional responsibilities as needed.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources or closely related field.
5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in an engineering office with a focus on civil engineering or water resources.
Professional Engineering License or on track to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Self-starter with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
Experience and working knowledge of AutoCAD production and civil design software (Civil 3D) and GIS software and applications.
Ability to learn new modeling software and techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and comply with company policies.
Moderate proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, technology, spreadsheets, and tools.
Ability to work independently with some supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
Ability to travel to project sites within the Northeast to support business needs.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Must be flexible to a variety of schedules to meet business needs and able to prioritize responsibilities and quickly adapt to change in a pressure work environment.
Preferred
Sustainable professional certifications (Envision or LEED)
Advanced experience in Civil 3D pipe network and/or pressure network is a plus.
H&H Modelling; (HydroCAD, PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, etc.)
Trenchless technology applications.
Master's Degree in the above referenced disciplines.
