Responsibilities

Optimize the inner development loop for Tecton engineers - enable fast builds and high-quality local development

Define and drive adoption of core technical standards across Tecton - refine how we use fundamental technologies (think: Bazel, linters, dependency injection, logging)

Architect Tecton’s Testing Pyramid, designing test abstractions which run quickly while providing high-fidelity regression signals

Evolve product platforms that solve product-building challenges shared by multiple teams (think: database design, serving infrastructure, task execution frameworks)

Required

5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining software systems, with demonstrated expertise in building platforms, frameworks, or tools for other software engineers.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to write detailed technical specifications.

Experience with at least one of AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred

Experience with the following technologies is preferred / a bonus, but we don’t expect every candidate to have experience with them all: Python, Kotlin, Bazel, Kubernetes, gRPC, and Postgres.
