Responsibilities

Lead a group of product designers on the Platform team to develop innovative and user-centric news experiences across multiple platforms

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute the search product roadmap

Mentor and manage a team of product designers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in design

Work with user research to gain insights into user behavior and inform design decisions

Monitor design trends and emerging technologies to ensure competitiveness

Create compelling presentations and design proposals for stakeholders

Ensure timely delivery of design work at a high standard and within budget

Required

At least 8 years of experience in product design

Proven track record of leading and managing product design teams

Expertise in user-centered design, design thinking, and design process methodologies

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts to stakeholders and senior management

Ability to think strategically and make data-driven design decisions

A passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of news design

A strong portfolio of design work that demonstrates your design skills, problem-solving ability, and understanding of user needs
