Responsibilities
Be a technology leader guiding a team of engineers in decision-making processes.
Manage and grow people, emphasizing team diversity and partnering with recruiting to build top teams.
Focus on processes to balance complex priorities and business timelines.
Create a strategic vision aligning with Professional Services priorities.
Design, build, and operationalize data engineering solutions for ServiceTitan's data platforms.
Develop self-service data and analytics capabilities for users.
Automate quality monitoring and respond to data delivery alerts.
Recommend architecture frameworks and implement high-performance solutions.
Evaluate and implement distributed storage and query techniques.
Champion high-quality code, engage in code reviews, and ensure test coverage.
Implement CI/CD and automation techniques for data processes.
Champion Data Governance, Compliance, and Security best practices.

Required
B.S., M.S. or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field
15+ years of experience in Software Engineering / Data Engineering roles
Experience with Python, Java, Scala or a similar programming language
Experience with Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.)
Experience with SQL skills
Experience managing the Data infrastructure on a public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
7+ years of hands-on management experience with a track record of hiring and growing teams as well as providing coaching and mentoring. Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to operate in a fast-moving environment
Experience leading data architecture and design
Data modeling and Data warehousing concepts
Data transformations, standardizations and ETL processes
Software Development best practices, code reviews and QA/Testing methodologies
Data governance, security, and compliance
Preferred
Strong experience (at least 3+ years) with Azure Cloud Computing
Strong experience (at least 3+ years) with Snowflake / Databricks / Spark
Strong experience (at least 3+ years) with Dbt
Strong experience (at least 3+ years) with Airflow
Strong experience (at least 3+ years) with SQL / Python / Scala / Java
