Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of software requirements and design documents.
Plan and perform all phases of the secure software development lifecycle, including threat modeling, risk analysis, and vulnerability assessment.
Design, develop, and debug embedded software, such as device drivers, board support packages, and/or security-related functionality.
Develop and review tests for software to ensure quality and code coverage as a part of automated testing and existing CI/CD infrastructure.
Review software developed by team members in a peer review process.
Participate in team-based meetings such as backlog grooming, story point estimation, daily standups, and sprint retrospectives.
Support integration of software-related deliverables by interacting with internal product teams and external customers.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study (or foreign education equivalent)
Four (4) years of experience as a software engineer or related occupation performing firmware validation and development
Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing application-level firmware and device drivers such as UART, SPI, and platform initialization code for embedded devices using C with focus on ARM Cortex-M architecture
DE developing software for both bare-metal and real-time operating systems using Eclipse Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), performing source control via established systems such as Git, leveraging Jira for backlog planning, and Confluence for documenting
DE implementing unit, functional, and black-box tests for both positive and negative scenarios, and automating test execution using Python
DE using tools such as logic analyzers for observing low-level device communication protocols, J-Link software and hardware debuggers, and PuTTY for serial connection monitoring
DE performing security risk analysis of product development by utilizing Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool
