Responsibilities

Provides support and co-leading with Construction and Project Mangers for project controls documentation

Receives, reviews, and tracks submittals and notifies the Project Team of potential impacts

Develops a comprehensive understanding of the contract documents

Collects and distributes various weekly reports as required

Assists with purchasing, expediting, and receiving material and equipment

Manages project schedule and assists in conflict resolution

Actively manages field coordination of subcontractors and quality management

Maintains project documentation and ensures communication to the Construction team

Drives timely completion of all required project closeout documents

Schedules Project Team meetings and issues meeting minutes

Serves as a direct link between Detailers, Project Managers, and other departments

Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related engineering discipline

35 years related experience in project management, engineering, systems design, or other related field in the structural steel industry or 5 years related experience as a Project Coordinator/Engineer or Asst. Proj. Mgr. Along with 3 years detailing/drafting/computer modeling

Thorough knowledge and an advanced understanding of each competency outlined in the Core Competencies

General knowledge of fabrication and erection standards and procedures

General knowledge of AISC standards and AWS codes

Proven ability to read and interpret shop and design blueprint drawings

Proven ability to manage large, multiple commercial and industrial projects

General knowledge of 3D modeling / Tekla system

Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting stringent deadlines

Project Management & Scheduling skill set

Efficiency Analytics/Metrics comprehension

Steel Erection/Fabrication methods

Heavy Equipment/Technology comprehension

Computer Modeling/Drafting/Blueprint Drawing Interpretation
