Responsibilities

Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX with a focus on security

Create new applications to enhance SpaceX operations in a secure environment

Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical limitations

Take ownership of software engineering and product development

Analyze user problems to devise efficient solutions

Contribute to team discussions on architecture, design, and code reviews

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science discipline AND 5+ years of experience in software development; OR 7+ years of professional experience in software development in lieu of degree

Experience in full stack development

Preferred

Programming experience in C#.NET, Java, Python, or similar object-oriented language

4+ years of rigorous experience building single page web applications

Experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery concepts

Experience developing software using modern security best practices (i.e. TLS, Zero-Trust)

Experience with one or more of the following: SAML/OIDC, mutual TLS, networking, firewalls, vulnerability identification and reduction, threat hunting, container-based security

Developed, debugged, and deployed software that has been used in real-world security applications/projects

Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Front-end experience in Angular, React, or similar JavaScript framework

Database experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database technologies

Willing to work extended hours and weekends when needed
