Responsibilities

Get things done: Assess challenges, craft solutions, and implement them

Write distributed systems to handle large-scale challenges (using Java)

Work with public cloud infrastructure (AWS)

Own the entire lifecycle of services, including live operations and deployment

Craft solutions using modern SQL and nonrelational databases (MongoDB, Dynamo, Redis)

Collaborate with upstream and downstream service owners and engineers to ship solutions

Be accountable for the solutions built and flexible around the ambiguity of the problem space

Required

5+ years of software engineering experience, with experience in developing online systems

Experience with Java or similar language

Craft solutions with SQL and relational databases

Experience with public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure etc.

Proven track record of operating live services

Experience working with a team of engineers to solve large and ambiguous problems

Excellent communication skills including the ability to provide, solicit and accept feedback constructively
