Responsibilities

Collect, challenge, facilitate, and document business requirements in Waterfall or generate a set of Features, Epics & User stories in Agile Scrum.

Validate IT solutions for alignment with business requirements, review requirements with development and test teams.

Assess feasibility & benefits of proposed projects using process, system, and business knowledge.

Collaborate with Business Engagement and Delivery Team resources to ensure solutions fit into the process flow.

Coordinate project delivery by participating in design reviews and functionality walkthroughs.

Ensure developed functionality aligns with business requirements.

Identify areas for functional enhancements and facilitate user acceptance testing.

Provide support for issues/changes in production.

Required

Relevant years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or equivalent role and a minimum education of 4-year college/university.

Ability to extract and document business requirements, to support the delivery of a technical solution.

Must have familiarity with various Business Analyst techniques e.g., User interviewing / Workshop facilitation / Business Process Modelling / Use cases, As-Is and To-Be Business Process Analysis / Writing business requirements documents or set of Epics & User Stories.

Significant experience in supporting all phases of the software development life cycle, including UAT support & oversight.

Ability to manage ambiguity, create accurate estimates and identify project risks through the project lifecycle.

Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to build trusting relationships with the business.

Ability to present information in an influencing manner to leadership and all business stakeholders.

A team-oriented individual with effective communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills is essential.

Proven planning and organization skills, with an ability to work resiliently, planning their analysis work, prioritizing workload, preparing in advance and setting realistic timescales.

Domain knowledge of Insurance is mandatory, with Reinsurance experience preferable.
