Responsibilities

Manage effective Plant Engineering and Maintenance Teams to maintain equipment, facilities, and systems in a safe and efficient working condition.

Provide business and technical leadership to meet critical manufacturing success areas.

Promote a continuous improvement process to sustain improvements in support of business objectives.

Utilize a proactive maintenance program to ensure facility and equipment are well-maintained.

Develop a service-oriented maintenance team to provide high-quality results.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and develop facility capital plans and budgets.

Prioritize, execute, and monitor project work to deliver safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.

Provide leadership to optimize talent contribution and development of multi-skilled teams.

Assure compliance with state and local codes, support compliance of corporate and plant standards for project work.

Work closely with other departments to optimize production line availability.

Required

B.S. (or higher) in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.

Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated experience in leading Engineering/Maintenance/Production/Continuous Improvement within a similar industry/environment.

Working knowledge of simplification/improvement methodologies.

Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Recognized technical abilities and practical experience with strong capabilities in various areas including theory/functionality of manufacturing systems and unit operations, equipment reliability and asset care strategies, continuous improvement techniques, statistics and analytical methods, process measurement and control, mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, ability to understand and apply general engineering principles.

Must have strong analytical and business judgment including demonstrated problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.
