Responsibilities

Working in the following areas: Data Warehousing and ETL, Data Marts, Data Profiling, Data Modeling, Data Quality Analysis, Modeling Dimensional Databases and Data Marts, Writing complex SQL and stored procedures, Working with data modeling tools, Interpreting and writing source to target mappings, Working with string and data manipulation functions, Metadata management and data governance, Creating and maintaining data dictionaries, Maintaining and interpreting data lineages, Planning and estimating for future releases, Roadmap involvement, Assessments of project scope and timelines, Intake of the requirements, Translating requirements into technical documents, Troubleshooting issues, Completing all required SA deliverables for the project, Following SA process and checklists, Supporting throughout the entire SDLC process, Reviewing all project deliverables and providing feedback

Ability to speak to the various aspects of the SDLC, Ability to draw out high-level and detailed designs, Ability to translate business requirements into specifications, Ability to design end-to-end data warehousing solutions, Ability to provide time estimations, Ability to work closely with other teams, Ability to provide system impact analysis, Leading junior SA persons, Required Soft Skills: Good analytical and problem-solving skills, Exceptional communication skills, Good documentation skills, Proficiency in English language, Frank and open communication, Assertiveness in communicating ideas, Nice to have: Experience with DB2 and Postgres Databases, Experience with PHI & PII data, Knowledge about ETL tools, Knowledge about business intelligence tools, Knowledge about medical and Rx claims processing, Knowledge about security standards

Required

Bachelor’s Degree

Ability to speak to the various aspect of the SDLC

Ability to draw out high-level and detailed designs and represent them as flow diagrams (preferably using Visio)

Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications

Ability to look at the given system/solution from a tool/technology-agnostic perspective and document deterministic rules / behavior in pseudo-code

Ability to design end-to-end data warehousing / reporting solutions using components like databases, ETL tools and reporting frameworks

Ability to provide time estimations for SA activities for a project based on the design

Ability to work closely with Development, PV and UAT teams to provide them the required support

Ability to perform and provide a detailed system impact analysis for a given change request and provide estimates

Able to lead junior SA persons and possibly provide feedback on multiple projects

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)

Good documentation skills

Proficiency in English language (as a medium of communication)

Frank and open communication with peers and higher-ups about realistic estimations and meeting timelines/expectations and proactive communication of issues and concerns thereof
