Tax Manager / Senior Manager - Estate/Gift/Trust Group

Responsibilities
Providing tax compliance and advisory services to High Net Worth Individuals, including their closely related businesses, trusts, and exempt organizations
Work closely with clients and their other advisors to advise on income tax issues and related tax planning
Develop and maintain strong client relationships with client personnel and prospective clients
Ability to identify and propose resolutions to complex income tax issues
Experience with individual income tax, gift tax, estate tax and trust taxation; estate planning experience a plus
Excellent research skills and ability to research complex tax issues
Ensure quality of work product
Oversee planning and scheduling of engagements
Monitor work-flow
Coach/mentor individual team members
Provide formal and informal feedback
Qualification
Required
Strong background in working with high net worth individuals and family offices
Ability to handle multiple client relationships
Experience with individual income tax, gift tax, estate tax and trust taxation
Excellent research skills and ability to research complex tax issues
Ensure quality of work product
Oversee planning and scheduling of engagements
Monitor work-flow
Coach/mentor individual team members
Provide formal and informal feedback
Proven experience in leading and supervising a team of seniors and staff accountants
Ability to learn, teach, and supervise in a fast paced environment and is receptive to feedback and coaching
Demonstrated advanced project management skills
Communicate progress to partners
Strong technical aptitude and communication skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and take initiative on projects
High attention to detail
Positive attitude and a team player mentality with a can-do spirit
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service
Proficiency in Thomson Reuters, GoSystem, ProSystems/Axcess or equivalent is required
5+ years of experience depending on relevant work experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related major
Licensed CPA
Preferred
Estate planning experience a plus
Master's Degree, J.D. or LLM is a plus
