Responsibilities
Under general supervision, assist with the design, deployment, and administration of various network and security infrastructure hardware and systems.
Analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions.
Contribute to designing, implementing, and troubleshooting security infrastructure.
Maintain knowledge of the latest technologies, security principles, and protocols.
Monitor infrastructure systems to improve network performance for all systems.
Develop and communicate standards, policies, and business practices ensuring system availability at various security access levels.
Implement preventive, detective, and corrective controls to ensure data integrity without affecting the end-user experience.
Research, test, recommend, and implement new products related to network and security infrastructure components.
Monitor performance, security, and resources of network components and communications lines to maintain quality service levels.
Establish new and evolve existing infrastructure standards.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in work related field or discipline preferred.
5+ Years experience in Information Technology with specific focus on network and security administration in positions of increasing responsibility required.
5+ Years experience in configuration, installation and maintenance of networking infrastructure components such as routers, switches, firewalls, etc. required.
3+ Years experience installing and administering medium to large scale LAN/WAN environments including hardware, software required.
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting all layers of the OSI model required.
Demonstrated experience in evaluating and implementing control mechanisms of networking and security products to protect digital assets required.
Thorough understanding of Microsoft and/or Linux operating systems including but not limited to deployment, integrations, and troubleshooting.
Preferred
One or more of the following are preferred: Networking and/or security centric; Cloud technology; Juniper; Cisco.
